Who are we?
The Michael Collins Gaelic Football Club is dedicated to the game of Gaelic Football. We're mediocre, somewhat skilled and enjoy getting out on the pitch on Sunday evenings to score a few points. Our goal is to establish a community where people can come together in a supportive environment to learn about this exciting new sport in Alexandria. Our focus is on fun, fitness and friendship. If you're interested in playing or have any Gaelic experience, just email us! We're always looking to improve and could use some good new players.
If you're curious or just learning about Gaelic, check out our site and make sure to stop by the GAA website. It's one of the greatest games of all times!
Michael Collins Gaelic Football Club promotes a community/family spirit among its members. There is room for everyone to get involved - from players to administrators and coaches to committee members. We encourage you to join our club and we welcome members of all ages. We are an entirely amateur club, this means that none of our members will receive any compensation for any duties performed and we will rely on donations and fund raisers to support our goals and activities.
What is Gaelic Football
Gaelic football combines the suspense of soccer, the skills and scoring of basketball, and the speed of the fastest sports in the world in a free-flowing action-packed sport. It originated in Ireland centuries ago, but it's taking off in North America. Try it!
